Here are four things to know.
1. Under the contract, nThrive will manage professional billing across WFBMC and Cornerstone Health Care outpatient clinics and hospital outpatient departments, according to the report. Cornerstone is an affiliate of Wake Forest Baptist Health.
2. Throughout the remainder of April, WFBMC will determine which professional billing roles will realign under nThrive’s management, according to the report. These employees will receive a nThrive job offer, at similar compensation and benefits.
3. In the report, WFBMC said nThrive will support and train the hospital’s professional billing staff. This management aims to improve billing and reimbursement processes, according to the report.
4. The contract is slated to take effect July 1.
