Texas Health Resources reports $409M operating gain, 6.2% margin in 2024

Arlington-based Texas Health Resources reported an $409 million operating income (6.2% margin) in 2024, up from $326 million (5.2% margin) in 2023, according to financial documents published May 21. 

Three things to know: 

1. Revenue increased 6.2% year over year to $6.6 billion while expenses grew by 5.1% to $6.2 billion. 

2. After accounting for nonoperating items, such as investments, Texas Health Resources reported a $883 million net income in 2024, down from $1.1 billion in 2023.

3. As of Dec. 31, 2024, long-term debt for the health system was $2 billion and total assets were $14 billion
