Pennsylvania’s Temple University Health Opens Lung, Orthopedic Outpatient Office

Temple University Health System in Philadelphia and Temple University School of Medicine have opened a lung and orthopedic outpatient office in Oaks, Pa., according to a Patriot-News report.

The 5,500-square-foot facility includes nine examination rooms, a full-service pulmonary function and exercise laboratory, a pulmonary rehabilitation facility, a limb and whole-body rehabilitation program for patients with orthopedic disorders and a cast room to facilitate immobilization therapies for patients with fractures or soft-tissue injuries.

Lung specialists will offer treatments for pulmonary disorders including asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder and lung cancer. Orthopedic and sports medicine specialists will offer treatments, including physical therapy, for conditions that require joint reconstruction and replacement as well as general orthopedic problems, hand and upper-extremity disorders and foot and ankle disorders. Full radiological and blood-acquisition services will also be available.
