The gift, from Scott and Kathy Fink, a prominent Tampa Bay family, will help build Pagidipati Children’s Hospital at St. Joseph’s, according to a Nov. 19 news release.

Currently, the children’s hospital shares some facilities with St. Joseph’s Hospital and St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital. The new standalone facility will allow for expanded specialty care and research dedicated to children’s health, addressing growing patient numbers and community needs, the release said.

BayCare plans to open the new hospital in 2030. The facility’s Day Hospital will be named after the Fink family in recognition of their donation.
