Capital Blue Cross and Bethlehem, Pa.-based St. Luke’s University Health Network have collaborated on a health plan option, now available to some employers.
Rates for the Valley Advantage EPO are below those for Capital’s standard PPO, according to a June 3 news release. The Valley Advantage EPO is rooted in a value-based model that includes streamlined access to St. Luke’s network, wellness credits for qualifying businesses that surpass 100 employees and no referrals for in-network care.
Businesses in Lehigh and Northampton counties with more than 100 employees can access the plan now, and smaller companies will have access in 2027.
“The collaboration between Capital Blue Cross and St. Luke’s allows us to offer employers in the Lehigh Valley a plan that enables access to high-quality care that is more affordable,” Rick Anderson, St. Luke’s president and CEO, said.
