S&P revises Virginia Mason Medical Center rating outlook to negative

S&P Global Ratings revised its rating outlook for Seattle-based Virginia Mason Medical Center from stable to negative.

S&P also affirmed its “BBB” long-term rating on Virginia Mason’s outstanding bonds.

The outlook revision reflects the medical center’s lower cash flow metrics and maximum annual debt service coverage this year.
