S&P revises Spartanburg Regional Health’s outlook to negative

S&P Global Ratings revised its outlook for Spartanburg (S.C.) Regional Healthcare System from stable to negative.

The outlook revision reflects S&P’s view that Spartanburg’s planned acquisition of Spartanburg, S.C.-based Mary Black Health System will negatively affect the system’s financial profile.

S&P also affirmed its “A” long-term rating for Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.
