S&P places Mississippi Baptist Health System on CreditWatch developing

S&P Global Ratings placed Jackson-based Mississippi Baptist Health System’s “BBB+” rated series 2007A and 2015B revenue bonds issued by Mississippi Hospital Equipment and Facilities Authority on CreditWatch developing.

“The CreditWatch placement reflects the signing of a shared mission agreement in which Baptist Memorial Health Care Corp., Tenn. (currently rated ‘A-‘), became the sole member of MBHS,” said Patrick Zagar, a S&P Global Ratings credit analyst.

The CreditWatch is expected to be resolved within 90 days.
