RCM company Xtend Healthcare expands services with new acquisition

Xtend Healthcare, a healthcare revenue cycle management company in Hendersonville, Tenn., acquired Los Angeles-based ELIPSe.

Xtend is part of Navient, a Wilmington, Del.-based provider of education, healthcare and government asset management and business processing solutions. The company has more than 130 hospital clients. ELIPSe's focuses include ICD-10 coding quality and auditing as well as interim Health Information Management and coding management, among other specializations.

Through the acquisition, Xtend will expand its HIM technology and consultancy services, both companies said.

They added ELIPSe CEO and Founder Elaine Lips, will lead the expansion of these services, and more than 20 employees from ELIPSe will join Xtend.
