Private equity pushes into healthcare: 5 latest deals

There were more than 700 private equity deals in the healthcare industry in 2018, and the healthcare sector continues to draw private equity investors.

Here are five private equity deals announced in the past month:

1. Revelstoke Capital Partners invested in The Care Team, a Farmington Hills, Mich.-based home health and hospice provider.

2. SkyKnight Capital invested in AeroCare Holdings, an Orlando, Fla.-based provider of home healthcare solutions for patients with chronic respiratory conditions.

3. Sverica Capital Management invested in In Vitro Sciences, which operates a network of fertility clinics across the U.S. As part of the transaction, IVS completed a spin-out from Women’s Health USA and acquired Advanced Fertility Care, a Phoenix-based fertility clinic.

4. BV Investment Partners acquired EDCO Health Information Solutions, a provider of automated unstructured data indexing solutions for healthcare providers.

5. H.I.G. Capital agreed to acquire BioVectra, a Canadian contract development and manufacturing organization whose client base includes top biopharmaceutical companies.
