Pittsburgh Health System Cuts 213 Jobs Despite Two Quarters of Profit

West Penn Allegheny Health System is cutting 213 full-time jobs at its six hospitals and corporate offices, according to a report by the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

Although the system reported its second consecutive quarterly profit in December, “we still have much work to do to improve our operations,” CEO Christopher Olivia said.
