Health insurers released their second-quarter earnings from mid-July through early August, with all but Elevance Health posting year-over-year profit gains.

Earnings for the major payers coincided with the release of the Fortune Global 500. UnitedHealth Group moved up to become the fourth-largest company in the world. The second-quarter profit ranking aligned with the companies’ order on the overall Fortune Global 500 list, which looks at annual revenue.

Here is how the country’s largest health insurers fared:

1. UnitedHealth Group

Profit: $5.484 billion

Margin: 4.9%

2. CVS Health

Profit: $2.979 billion

Margin: 2.8%

3. Cigna

Profit: $1.66 billion

Margin: 2.3%

4. Elevance Health

Profit: $1.463 billion

Margin: 2.9%

5. Centene 

Profit: $1.091 billion

Margin: 2%

6. Humana 

Profit: $694 million

Margin: 1.7%
