Here are four things to know about the center.
1. The center, to be located in Louisville, will deliver strategy, clinical and operational capabilities, health plan administrative support and Identifi, Evolent’s population health performance management platform, officials said.
2. Evolent plans to put 200 employees in Louisville at first and then grow the regional office to 647 employees by the fourth year, as the center grows to support Passport, a nonprofit, provider-sponsored managed care organization, and other health plans nationwide, according to WDRB, which cites information from the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority.
3. All of Passport’s current 500-plus employees, including its leadership team, will remain in place locally to serve both the company’s existing Medicaid managed care business and the new center.
4. Officials said Evolent’s alliance with Passport overall “will offer a clear blueprint that can be scaled on a national level to providers and governmental entities seeking new ways to improve patient health outcomes and lower costs.”
