That’s because the hospital recently received payments and reimbursements and anticipates additional cash flow, the hospital’s CFO, Dee Waldow, told the Palo Pinto County Hospital District’s board of directors, according to the report.
The payments and reimbursements include $353,000 in Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospital funds, Ms. Waldow previously said, according to the report. The report states Ms. Waldow also previously said the hospital anticipates receiving uncompensated care funds this month.
“We will also start receiving tax collections in the next couple of weeks,” Ms. Waldow said in the Mineral Wells Index report. “With all the incoming funds, I anticipate the (cash on hand) days to increase approximately 50-60 days by February financials.”
