From expanding capabilities to launching new software, here are five new services launched by revenue cycle management companies that Becker's has reported since Sept. 20:

The Congressional Budget Office's recently released list of policy proposals to lower healthcare premiums fails to address the real causes behind those rising costs, the American Hospital Association said in an Oct. 10 response to the report. 

Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Broward Health Foundation has been gifted $5.5 million from Marvin H. Weiner and Jacqueline J. Bernstein, two local philanthropists. 

Kettering (Ohio) Health Foundation has exceeded $100 million in gifts received and funds dispersed, according to an Oct. 10 news release. 

Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Primary Children's Hospital was gifted $35 million on behalf of Andie and Todd Pedersen for its new children's health system. 

Valdosta-based South Georgia Medical Center has named Olaf Faeskorn vice president of revenue cycle.

Mayo Clinic received a $100 million multiyear commitment from the Fred C. and Katherine B. Andersen Foundation to nearly double appointment access at the system's proton beam facility in Rochester, Minn. 

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration awarded $12.6 million in grants to Kansas mental health centers, according to an Oct. 10 report from Kansas City Fox affiliate KSNW.

Arizona voters will decide on a ballot measure designed to reduce interest rates on medical debt and prevent bankruptcies, The Arizona Republic reported Oct. 10. 

The Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services received a $3 million grant from the Federal Administration for Children and Families.
