Orlando (Fla.) Health reported an operating income of $56.3 million (2.2% operating margin) in the third quarter of 2025, down from $158.3 million (8.7% margin) during the same period last year.

The system said the 64.4% decrease in operating income year over year is related to integration and transition-related costs from acquisitions completed in October. Orlando Health completed two separate deals that month. In the first, it acquired Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare’s 70% ownership interest in Birmingham, Ala.-based Brookwood Baptist Health. In the second, it acquired three Florida hospitals and related physician practices from Dallas-based Steward Health Care.

Orlando Health reported revenue of $2.5 billion in the three months ended June 30, up from $1.8 billion during the same period last year. Net patient service revenue was $2.1 billion, a 34.8% increase year over year, which the system attributed to the hospital acquisitions in Alabama and Florida. Total admissions increased 33.3% and total outpatient visits increased 48.5%.

Total operating expenses were $2.5 billion in the third quarter, up from $1.7 billion during the same period last year. Orlando Health attributed the 50.4% increase year over year to the costs associated with the acquisitions. The system said the increase also reflects higher patient volume as well as labor, supply and other costs.

Orlando Health reported a net income of $300.5 million in the quarter, up from $136.5 million during the same period last year.
