New York City-based NYU Langone Health recorded an operating income of $156.8 million (3.9% operating margin) in the third quarter of 2025, down from an operating gain of $161 million (4.4% margin) during the same quarter last year, according to its July 23 financial report.
Three things to know:
1. The system posted a total operating revenue of $4 billion for the three months ended May 31, up from $3.7 billion during the same period last year. Net patient service revenue totaled $3.1 billion, up from $2.9 billion. Pharmacy revenue totaled $320.3 million, up from $228.5 million.
2. Operating expenses totaled $3.9 billion in the third quarter of 2025, up from $3.5 billion during the same period last year. Salaries, wages and benefits totaled $2.4 billion, up from $2 billion. Supply and other expenses were $1.2 billion, up from $1.1 billion.
3. NYU Langone recorded a net income of $244 million in the quarter, down from a net income of $251.9 million during the same period last year.
