New York City-based NewYork-Presbyterian has opened applications for the 2026 cycle of its Community Fund, the health system’s largest grant program for community-based organizations, with $2.1 million budgeted for the round.
The program will award at least seven two-year grants ranging from $75,000 to $150,000 annually, with a maximum total award of $300,000 per organization, according to a May 29 news release.
Priority will be given to organizations addressing housing insecurity and food insecurity, two social determinants of health identified in NewYork-Presbyterian’s most recent Community Health Needs Assessment.
Since launching the fund in 2024, NewYork-Presbyterian has invested $4.15 million in 17 community-based organizations. The program is informed by the health system’s triennial Community Health Needs Assessment and aligned with the New York State Prevention Agenda.
Eligible applicants include nonprofit, religious and government agencies with a community-service mission and an annual operating budget of at least $1 million, the release said.
NewYork-Presbyterian is an integrated academic health system affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine and Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, both of which are based in New York City.
