The health system laid off 16 employees from Olean General Hospital and 15 employees from Bradford (Pa.) Regional Medical Center. The affected employees represent about 2 percent of the hospitals’ workforce, according to the report.
Upper Allegheny Health System, part of Buffalo, N.Y.-based Kaleida Health, made the cuts due to its financial performance in 2018. The system is expected to report a $5.1 million loss for last year, a spokesperson told the Olean Times Herald.
