Quorum has struggled with plunging share prices for months. The 27-hospital chain’s stock price traded down about 3 percent Feb. 20 after closing Feb. 19 at $2.58.
Quorum ended the first nine months of 2018 with a net loss of $179.5 million, compared to a net loss of $87.4 million in the same period a year earlier. The company, a spinoff of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems, aims to improve its financial positions by restructuring its portfolio.
