Here are four things to know about the hospital.

1. Saint Catherine Regional Hospital locked its doors nearly three years ago, owing more than $8 million to 200-plus creditors. The hospital, which employed 125 people, declared bankruptcy in 2012.

2. Clarksville, Ind.-based firm Dhvaj purchased the hospital and grounds from bankruptcy court in May 2015.

3. Dhvaj plans to open a hospital in the former Saint Catherine Regional Hospital. James Wesp, CEO of Dhvaj, said the new hospital — to be named North Clark Community Hospital — will comprise urgent care, addiction, inpatient and outpatient diagnostics, and specialty services.

4. When North Clark Community Hospital will open is unclear. Mr. Wesp told WDRB the building will be up to code in late 2018.
