MUSC will launch seven initiatives from the seven grants it received from the Duke Endowment, according to a Dec. 12 news release from the health system.
Those initiatives are:
- Expanding the Boeing Center for Children’s Wellness program to include mental health prevention and treatment services beyond Charleston and Colleton counties: $1,335,000
- Developing systems to support and retain a diverse healthcare workforce: $875,000
- Improving access to dental care for children in the Carolinas: $735,000
- Implementing a virtual program to help children in rural South Carolina to manage asthma more effectively: $598,000
- Developing services and resources to measure, address and prevent healthcare worker burnout in Florence: $445,000
- Creating a statewide telehealth network for rural primary care clinics: $200,000
- Launching a coalition to improve population health in Chester County: $100,000
