To obtain results, Gallup surveyed 1,549 adults over the age of 18 from May 6 to 8. Here are two other findings from the poll.
1. Fifty-one percent of Americans favor repealing the ACA, while 45 percent do not.
2. Approximately 48 percent of Americans favor keeping the ACA in place, and 49 percent oppose doing so.
These three questions asked by Gallup were meant to correspond with the views of three presidential candidates: Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Sen. Sanders wants to replace the ACA with a single-payer system entitled “Medicare for All.” Donald Trump wants to repeal the ACA. Hillary Clinton wants to keep the ACA in place.
