Moody’s revises Mercy Medical Center’s outlook to negative

Moody’s Investors Service affirmed its “A2” rating for Des Moines, Iowa-based Mercy Medical Center, affecting $97.5 million of outstanding revenue bonds.

The rating reflects Moody’s expectation that the hospital’s margins will remain modest in fiscal year 2019, though it will maintain its market share position in its primary service area.

The rating outlook has been revised from stable to negative.
