Moody’s assigns ‘Aa3’ rating to UW Health’s proposed bonds

Moody’s Investors Service assigned an “Aa3/VMIG 1” rating to Madison, Wis.-based UW Health’s  proposed variable rate demand revenue refunding bonds.

The rating reflects UW Health’s role as a major academic medical center and quaternary referral center for Wisconsin, and the assumption that it will continue to have growing demand from an expanding clinical footprint.

The rating outlook is stable.
