Moody’s assigns ‘A1’ rating to Memorial Health System

Moody’s Investors Service assigned an “A1” rating to Springfield, Ill.-based Memorial Health System on proposed revenue bonds and affirmed its “A1” rating on existing revenue bonds, affecting $200 million of rated debt.

The affirmation reflects Moody’s expectation that Memorial will maintain its market position and sustains solid cash levels, though these will moderate somewhat as the system begins several capital projects.

The rating outlook is stable.
