Moody’s affirms ‘A3’ rating for Cumberland County Hospital System

Moody’s Investors Service affirmed its “A3” rating for Cumberland County (N.C.) Hospital System, known as Cape Fear Valley Health, affecting $78 million of outstanding rated debt.

The affirmation incorporates Cape Fear’s leading market position, positive volume trends and strong revenue growth. However, liquidity metrics are expected to weaken in fiscal year 2019 due to the system’s planned IT implementation.

The rating outlook is stable.
