Bronze plans, intended to have the lowest premiums of the four metals, may charge members up to a $5,000 deductible each year. Silver plan members could pay as much as a $2,000 deductible, and gold and platinum plans may not charge a deductible under the state’s rule. Copays are also reduced as they move up the metal hierarchy.
