St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center will add five surgeons this year and boost its primary care network from 22 to 35 providers over the next three years, according to the report. It will also hire 30 registered nurses and 50 certified registered nursing assistants from overseas.
Sign-on bonuses, flexible schedules and competitive pay will also be used to attract nursing talent, Steve Jorgensesn, president of St. Mary’s, told WMBW.
The hospital will also transition to private rooms across the organization and expand behavioral health services, including a new outpatient therapy program that will launch in the summer.
