The gift will support the hospital’s healthy communities initiative, which joins together outreach organizations and providers to treat and mentor youth in underserved communities. One of the organizations benefiting from the donation is UCAN’s Violence Intervention and Prevention Services.

In addition, the donation will make child abuse detection software, developed at Lurie Children’s, available to hospitals across the U.S.
