Labcorp has completed its acquisition of Tupelo-based North Mississippi Health Services’ ambulatory outreach laboratory business.
The company will also become a referral laboratory for the system’s seven hospitals and clinic laboratories, according to an April 21 Labcorp news release.
Labcorp is also opening three new patient service centers in Tupelo, West Point and Amory by mid-2025 to increase laboratory services in North Mississippi, according to the release.
“North Mississippi Health Services will continue to operate laboratories in each of our hospitals and clinics with this partnership helping to address key pieces of our strategy including improving access, evolving how we ‘do the work’ and creating alternative revenue sources,” the system’s President and CEO Shane Spees said in the release.
