The waiver, effective during the partial government shutdown, applies to Inspira’s emergency rooms and urgent care centers, system officials said in a news release.
They said patients who show their government ID when they receive emergency, radiology, pathology and anesthesia services from hospital-based physicians are also eligible for the waiver.
In addition to waiving out-of-pocket costs, Inspira Health is also waiving monthly membership fees for its fitness centers in Vineland and Bridgeton, N.J., for furloughed government employees.
“We strive every day to take care of our community, in our community — and we hope that this waiver can help alleviate some financial burdens for furloughed employees in our shared home in South Jersey,” John DiAngelo, president and CEO of Inspira Health, said in the news release.
