The money raised at the Inova Schar Cancer Institute fundraiser will support a new cancer research and treatment center on Inova’s 117-acre campus.
The fundraiser set a record for the most money donated at a single-event, nonprofit fundraiser in the D.C. metro area and drew in 225 guests.
“This event is an amazing display of what is possible when a community comes together to support a worthwhile endeavor,” said NVR President and CEO Paul Saville. “We are grateful to the community leaders whose generous philanthropic support has not only made this evening one for the history books, but one that will enable the Schar to continue its groundbreaking work.”
