Gibson Area Hospital Unveils Obstetrics Department, Part of $6M Construction Project

 
Gibson Area Hospital in Gibson City, Ill., has unveiled a new obstetrics department, a part of a $6 million expansion and renovation project that began in 2012, according to a Pantagraph report.

The new department includes five private labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum rooms as well as a Caesarean-section operating room. It also features remote monitoring technology.

The addition will open once it receives state certification, according to the report.
