Among the major for-profit hospital operators, Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems saw the greatest decrease in share price at 7.8 percent.

- LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $56.50 per share (down 2.5 percent)
- Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $15.66 per share (down 4.6 percent)
- Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $110.10 per share (down 0.8 percent)
