Shares of Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America were up 5.9 percent last week, the most of any of the major for-profit hospital operators.

- Hospital Corporation of America (Nashville, Tenn.): $76.05 per share (up 5.9 percent)
- LifePoint Hospitals (Brentwood, Tenn.): $75.61 per share (up 3.58 percent)
- Tenet Healthcare Corp. (Dallas): $49.63 per share (up 4.95 percent)
- Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $119.55 per share (up 4.79 percent)
