For-profit hospital stock report: Week of Feb. 23-27

Four of the five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stocks rise last week.

Shares of King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services were up 5.12 percent last week, the most of any of the major for-profit hospital operators.

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $48.51 per share (down 1.94 percent)
  • Hospital Corporation of America (Nashville, Tenn.): $71.56 per share (up 2.52 percent)
  • LifePoint Hospitals (Brentwood, Tenn.): $71.96 per share (up 2.54 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare Corp. (Dallas): $46.30per share (up 3.21 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $113.36 per share (up 5.12 percent)
