Fitch upgrades Heartland Health rating to ‘AA-‘

Fitch Ratings upgraded its rating for St. Joseph, Mo.-based Heartland Health, which includes Heartland Regional Medical Center and Mosaic Life Care, from “A+” to “AA-” and assigned an issuer default rating of “AA-.”

The upgrade reflects Mosaic’s continued liquidity improvement and strengthened capital-related ratios.

The rating outlook is stable.
