The upgrade reflects Benefis’ continued operating profitability and growth in balance sheet resources in  the last two years. Fitch also acknowledges that while Benefis’ market position is very strong, it has experienced a weakened payer mix, with Medicaid payments growing considerably in recent years.

The rating outlook remains stable.
