Fitch affirms Hurley Medical Center’s ‘BBB-‘ rating

Fitch Ratings assigned its “BBB-” issuer default rating to Flint, Mich.-based Hurley Medical Center. Concurrently, the credit agency affirmed its “BBB-” rating on the medical center’s outstanding bonds.

The assignment and affirmation are based on several positive and negative factors, including the medical center’s variable operating margins, strong market position and somewhat thin capital-related ratios.

The outlook is stable.
