Fitch affirms Centegra Health’s ‘BBB’ rating

Fitch Ratings has affirmed the “BBB” rating on Crystal Lake, Ill.-based Centegra Health System’s $134.7 million of series 2014A bonds and $190.4 million of series 2012 bonds.

The rating affirmation is based on several factors, including Centegra’s improved profitability and its plan to open a new 128-bed hospital in August.

The system also faces several challenges, including operating in a competitive service area.

The outlook is stable.
