An April poll from Kaiser Family Foundation showed more Republicans named drug prices as the No. 1 healthcare priority than dislodging President Barack Obama’s signature health law which came in second, according to Politico.
Nearly three-quarters of Americans across Republican, Democratic and Independent parties (66 percent), believe drug prices are unreasonably high, and most attribute high prices to drug companies seeking profits, according to the report.
Republicans are still seeking to take down the ACA, however. Kaiser’s poll found repealing the ACA and its individual mandate were Republicans’ second and third highest healthcare priorities, indicated by 60 percent and 52 percent of respondents, respectively, according to the report.
