CMS has corrected a technical error that displayed an incorrect 2024 outpatient prospective payment system payment rate for hyperbaric oxygen therapy (APC 5061), the American Hospital Association said in a Dec. 27 post on its website.
The corrected Medicare payment rate for hyperbaric oxygen therapy, starting Jan. 1, is now listed at $132.21, as opposed to the $73.64 indicated in the final rule, according to the post.
AHA said it brought the technical error to CMS’ attention earlier in December, which resulted in the correction.
