CHS redeems $222.5M in senior secured notes

Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems said Feb. 2 that its subsidiary, CHS/Community Health Systems, completed the redemption of $222.5 million in principal of its 10.875% senior secured notes. 

Approximately $1.78 billion in principal remains outstanding on the notes due 2032, according to a company news release. 

CHS comprises 65 owned or leased hospitals and more than 900 care sites in 34 markets across 13 states, the release said.
