Banner Health operating margin improves to 3.2%

Phoenix-based Banner Health saw an operating income of $251.2 million (3.2% margin) in the first half of 2025, up from a $182.7 million operating income (2.4% margin) during the same period in 2024, according to its most recent financial report.

Banner Health’s total revenue was $7.89 billion for the six months ended June 30, a 4.9% increase from $7.52 billion during the same period in 2024. 

The health system’s total expenses were $7.64 billion, up from $7.34 billion from the same period in 2024. 

Banner Health’s net income was $694.7 million in the six months ended June 30, up 31.3% from $529.2 million during the same period in 2024. Long-term debt for the health system was $4 billion.
