Here are four things to know about the partnership.
1. Acuant’s partnership with Clearwave, a patient registration and insurance eligibility solution, involves Acuant’s idScan, which allows for immediate ID verification and automated data intake when patients scan their IDs and health insurance cards.
2. Acuant’s ID scanning solution, deployed by Clearwave, is aimed at eliminating patient errors during self-service registration.
3. Acuant’s partnership with Aprima Medical Software, a provider of EHR, practice management and revenue cycle management solutions for medical practices, also involves the patient registration and check-in process.
4. Acuant’s card scanning solutions digitize IDs and health insurance cards using both barcode and OCR technologies, Acuant said. The digitized images can be stored permanently in the patient record, while insurance card data is converted to text and populated into database records.
