Here are four things to know.

1. PointClickCare is a cloud-based software platform focused on senior care. Ability Network is a health IT company.

2. The goal with the integration is to help providers improve RCM performance, according to a news release.

3. Through the integration, the companies said providers will receive assistance in managing and correcting claims before they make it to the payer, and will be able to see any changes to the claim via PointClickCare’s EHR platform.

4. “Manually managing claims and reimbursement can be a headache for clinicians and administrators,” Bud Meadows, executive vice president and chief revenue officer of Ability Network, said in the release. “As the vendor of choice for PointClickCare, Ability will help providers on the PointClickCare EHR platform simplify the complexity of billing, leveraging EASE All-Payer. There is no jumping between systems, having to check and recheck varied documents to see the status of a claim — it is all built into the EHR. Having all the information at the ready makes for higher accuracy in claims, which ultimately leads to quicker reimbursement.”
