The replacement hospital will be one of the first hospitals in the country to be conditioned solely by geothermal energy, according to the report. The construction firm for the new hospital, Brasfield & Gorrie, said geothermal energy can reduce pollution and generate cost savings, according to the report.
The 295,000-square-foot new facility is expected to be completed in April 2014.
