Universal Health Services Completes Divestiture of Auburn Regional Medical Center

Universal Health Services in King of Prussia, Pa., has completed its divestiture of Auburn (Wash.) Regional Medical Center.

UHS announced the definitive agreement to sell Auburn Regional to MultiCare Health System in Tacoma, Wash., in May.

UHS also completed an acquisition of Ascend Health Corp. in New York City, adding nine freestanding inpatient psychiatric facilities to its behavioral health services. The facilities are located across five states and are expected to generate revenues of approximately $200 million and EBITDA of approximately $60 million.
