12 recent hospital outlook and credit rating actions

The following hospital and health system rating and outlook changes and affirmations took place in the last week, starting with the most recent.

1. Moody's assigns 'A1' rating to RWJBarnabas Health's bonds
Moody's Investors Service assigned an "A1" rating to West Orange, N.J.-based RWJBarnabas Health's proposed $612.9 million of series 2016A bonds. 

2. S&P upgrades Norman Regional Health System's rating to 'BBB+'
S&P Global Ratings raised the long-term and underlying rating on Norman (Okla.) Regional Health System's debt to "BBB+" from "BBB."

3. Fitch affirms Advocate Health Care's 'F1+' bond ratings
Fitch Ratings affirmed the short-term "F1+" ratings on Downers Grove, Ill.-based Advocate Health Care's bonds.

4. Fitch assigns 'BBB-' rating to Oaklawn Hospital's bonds
Fitch Ratings assigned a "BBB-" rating to Marshall, Mich.-based Oaklawn Hospital's $79 million of series 2016 fixed rate revenue bonds. 

5. Fitch assigns 'BBB' rating to Holy Redeemer Health System's bonds
Fitch Ratings assigned a "BBB" rating to Huntingdon Valley, Pa.-based Holy Redeemer Health System's $70.9 million of series 2016A bonds. 

6. S&P assigns 'BBB+' rating to University Health System's bonds
S&P Global Ratings assigned a "BBB+" rating to Knoxville, Tenn.-based University Health System's series 2016 and series 2017 bonds.

7. S&P raises Susquehanna Health's rating to 'A+'
S&P Global Ratings raised its long-term rating on Williamsport, Pa.-based Susquehanna Health's $150 million of series 2009 bonds to "A+" from "A-."

8. Moody's assigns initial 'A1' rating to UAB Medicine's bonds
Moody's Investors Service assigned an initial "A1" revenue bond rating to Birmingham-based UAB Medicine's series 2016A and 2016B bonds, affecting approximately $344 million. 

9. Moody's upgrades, affirms Parkview Health System's bonds
Moody's Investors Service upgraded the rating on Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Parkview Health System's series 2009C bonds to "Aa1" from "Aa2." Moody's also affirmed the "Aa1" rating on select joint support letter of credit-backed bonds.

10. Fitch affirms 'A' rating on Forrest Health's bonds
Fitch Ratings affirmed the "A" rating on Hattiesburg, Miss.-based Forrest Health's bonds.

11. Moody's affirms Avita Health System's 'MIG 1' rating
Moody's Investors Service affirmed Galion, Ohio-based Avita Health System's "MIG 1" rating, affecting $86 million of series 2015 notes.

12. Moody's assigns 'Baa1' rating to Norman Regional Hospital Authority's bonds
Moody's Investors Service assigned a "Baa1" rating to Norman (Okla.) Regional Hospital Authority's proposed series 2016 and series 2017 bonds, affecting a total of $166 million.
